is on the wall of the office where youth radio, magazine, art, and sports
programs hold their weekly meetings.

in front is an OYE scholarship student calling for change.
Somos la Esperanza - 2010

El Progreso, Yoro, Honduras, C.A.
“Somos La Esperanza de Nuestro Pais” was painted on
La Escuela de Juan Ramon. Its message, “We are the Hope of Our People,” was
created through my work with students and teachers to create a message that
encouraged education and activism in a community plagued by political unrest,
violence, and poverty.
It was painted with the help of six volunteers from
various North American universities, and the students of La Juan Ramon over a three-day
period.
